It's that time of year already where school is nearly out and the summer holidays are underway!
We are super pleased to now be working with Exeter Phoenix on all of our local workshops. We feel that an art and craft themed venue is the perfect place to hold our crafty workshops after the success of our venue in Kingsbridge.
Our craft workshops will be running again this summer holidays and we will of course be continuing our pom pom theme and creating Pom Pom Letters and Pom Pom Cupcake Garlands with children age 5+.
On top of this, we are now offering a LEARN TO SEW block at both venues for children age 7+ who would like to learn to sew. The blocks include 10 hours of tuition and sewing time with a small group, maximum of 6 attendees, across 4 dates in August.
The children will be learning right from the basics on how to thread a sewing machine, how to fill a bobbin and put this in/take it out of the machine, what stitches to use and how to create seams. Once we have built this foundation of knowledge we will then apply this to TWO projects - an envelope cushion for their bedroom and their first dressmaking project; a wrap skirt made to fit them.
All materials and equipment are supplied, although we do ask for all children attending to ideally have their own working sewing machine, as this is how they learn best. However, we do have a couple spare sewing machines if need be.
All workshops are bookable through our easy to use online system and guarantee your child's space on one of our fun filled courses.
Make sure to get your child booked on before the rush at www.pomstitchtassel.com/workshops. We look forward to seeing you at a workshop soon!
