Craft Parties

 

Children’s Birthday Party 

 

The Party Package

As part of our party package we offer our customers a hassle free craft party as well as -

• a fully insured & DBS checked craft tutor

• all materials & equipment for making

• handmade party bags for all children attending the party

• 1.5 hours of crafty fun and party games (subject to their being time at the end of the party)

• printable PDF invites (sent to you by e-mail upon booking)

 

The Basics:

Children’s craft parties involve sticking and cutting.

We have a minimum age of 5 years.

Our standard children’s party includes 6 children (including the birthday boy/girl) and is a minimum charge of £90.00.

Please note this is our minimum charge so this cannot be reduced if less children attend. For more children to be added there is an extra charge of £15.00 per head.

Party availability is on weekends only. Our most popular times for parties are 10am - 1.30pm and 2pm - 3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Please enquire for availability.

 

Optional Extras:

We are able to offer bespoke parties and can happily tailor our craft parties around a theme of your choice. Please note extra charges may apply.

 

Location:

We are based in Bovey Tracey and travel within a 20 mile radius of this area. We are happy to travel further but please note we may charge a small travel fee.

All parties are held at your home or a venue you have booked.

 

What We Ask of You:

As part of the party we require a large enough table and enough chairs to seat all children attending the party. We will bring everything else we need with us.

Please note we ask you to have party food either before or after we are booked to do our craft session.

As part of health and safety and to ensure everybody has a great time at the party, we do ask a small favour from you. This is that a minimum of two parents or guardians stay for the entire length of the party to supervise and be responsible for the children at all times. The craft tutor is their to teach your children and of course make sure they have a great time, but unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for your children and their behaviour.

 

Cancellations, Refunds & Changing of Date:

Due to the preparation and purchasing of materials our cancellation policy is 14 days prior to the event.  All deposits for parties are non-refundable.  If you would like to amend the date of a party, please contact us directly. Dates are based upon availability.

 

Booking:

We would love to hold your child’s birthday party so if you would like to go ahead with booking, we would ask if you could fill out our booking form (please enquire for this) with all details and send it to emma@pomstitchtassel.com. To secure your booking we require 25% of the party price and the remainder to be settled 14 days prior to the event. We can take cash, cheque or BACS payments, please enquire for bank details.

 

 

Hen Parties

 

The Party Package

As part of our party package we offer our customers a hassle free craft party as well as -

• a themed party

• a fully insured craft tutor

• all materials & equipment for making

• handmade party bags for all hens attending the party

• 1.5 hours of crafty fun

• printable PDF invites (sent to you by e-mail upon booking)

 

The Basics:

Our hen parties cost £25.00 per head based on one of our themed parties. Our minimum charge hen party is £150.00.

This cannot be reduced even if less hens attend.

Party availability is during the week and on weekends.  Please enquire for availability.

 

Optional Extras:

We are lucky enough to have a venue in Devon that we can use which offers a catering service and have an alcohol license. This allows us to offer a bottle of prosecco and afternoon tea as extra – make an afternoon of it with family and friends!

We are able to offer bespoke parties and can happily tailor our craft parties around a theme of your choice. Please note extra charges may apply.

Workshops 

 

All of our workshops require pre-booking.  You can book all of our workshops via our website through a paypal or card payment.   

 

You will receive a confirmation e-mail on booking, please keep hold of this as this confirms yours or your child’s place on our workshop.  You will also need to bring a copy of this with you on the day of the workshop.

 

If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail on booking one of our workshops, please contact us as your booking may not have gone through or the workshop may already be fully booked.

 

For our sewing workshops we will send out an e-mail after booking with all of the required materials and equipment you will need for the course.   On our website the workshop will specify what the course includes e.g. a pattern, fastening etc. 

 

None of our children’s craft workshops require you to purchase any equipment or materials, all of this is provided in the price.  

 

We have a minimum of 4 attendees on ANY of our workshops, this is due to the material costs and room hire we have to cover in order to run the course.   If we do not have at least 4 attendees booked on our workshop, the workshop will be cancelled and you will be notified accordingly.  We will always offer an alternative whether this be another date or a workshop, or if neither of these are suitable we will provide you with a full refund.  

 

Our workshops have specified dates and times please make sure you are available for all of the dates and times on the workshop before booking, as you will need to attend all dates and times to ensure you have something to show at the end. 

 

As part of our sewing workshops we require you to have your own working and in good condition sewing machine.   Unfortunately we are not able to provide sewing machines for the purposes of workshops.   We would suggest your sewing machine to be PAT tested for safety purposes.    

 

All of our workshops are age specific please take note of this before booking.  

 

 

 

Sewing Lessons

 

All of our sewing lessons are aimed at adults or children aged 7+.   Your child will need to be aged 7 or older when starting the first sewing lesson, this is due to health and safety reasons.  

 

As part of the sewing lessons we require you to have your own working and in good condition sewing machine.   Unfortunately we are not able to provide sewing machines for the purposes of the lessons.  

 

All of our sewing lessons are based in the comfort of your own home.  If this is not possible, we can hire a local venue for the sewing lessons but this would be an extra cost to you, and not one we could cover in the lesson cost.    

 

We travel a 20 mile radius from Newton Abbot included in the basic sewing lesson cost.  We are happy to travel further afield but please note you may incur reasonable travel costs.  

 

In order to secure your booking for our sewing lessons we ask for a non-refundable 25% deposit upfront, whether this be on a single 2 hour lesson or a block of 10 hours.   If we are hiring a venue on your behalf you would need to pay for the full cost of the room hire upfront so we can book the venue.
